HOW IT WORKS
1. APPLY: Complete the online application between January 15 and April 30.
2. ELIGIBILITY REVIEW: TWGG confirms Ottawa residence and Grade 8+ educational eligibility.
3. COMMITTEE REVIEW: Eligible applications are reviewed using a 100-point rubric.
4. RECIPIENT: The selected recipient is expected to be notified by June 1, 2027.
5. AWARD: The $2,000 bursary is expected to be paid by June 30, 2027.

Applicants do not need to disclose trauma, medical diagnoses or other highly sensitive personal information. Tell us enough to understand the financial barrier and educational need.
Application information is confidential and used only to administer and assess the bursary.
Publicity is optional.
Winning does not require permission to publish a name, photo or story.

FAQ
Do I need high grades?
No. There is no minimum GPA.
Is there a maximum age?
No. Eligibility begins at Grade 8 and there is no maximum age.
Do I need to attend university?
No. Secondary school, college, university, apprenticeship, skilled trades, vocational and recognized training programs may qualify.
Do I need a SIN to apply?
No. Never include a SIN in the initial application.
Will my photo be posted if I win?
Only if you separately agree. Publicity is optional.
